All Saints’ Party Ideas

Since All Hallows’ Eve falls on a Sunday this year, we will be celebrating All Saints’ Day on Friday, October 29. Since the origin of the popular holiday is the celebration of All Saints and All Souls–religious holy days– costumes for the parties and mini-parade (costumes are optional) at the school should be saints (including saints from the Old & New Testament).

Here are some ideas for costumes:

Please keep in mind:

  • Many saints are martyrs, but please don’t bring a “martyr costume” of how that saint died! (Stigmata marks are ok if done small and tastefully.)
  • Please no toy weapons.
  • Due to the religious nature of the holy day and the celebration at school, please keep witches, ghosts, ghouls and other frightful/ non-religious costumes at home.
